Peptide Therapy

Prescription peptide therapy for injury, recovery and metabolic support in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signals, telling the body to do something it already knows how to do. That makes them useful where the problem is a repair process that has stalled.

For musculoskeletal and soft tissue injury

These are the two most people come in asking about, and they are usually discussed together.

BPC-157

Body Protection Compound 157

A peptide sequence derived from a protein found in gastric juice, studied for its effects on tendon, ligament and soft tissue repair, and on the gut lining. It is the one most people have already read about before they walk in.

TB-4 Frag

Thymosin Beta-4 fragment

A fragment of a naturally occurring protein involved in cell migration and tissue repair. Studied alongside BPC-157 for soft tissue and tendon injury, and frequently discussed together with it for that reason.

A peptide does not fix a joint that is still moving badly, which is why this runs alongside the Acacia Chiropractic Method and the soft tissue work rather than in place of it.

Other peptides we work with

GHK-Cu

Copper tripeptide

A copper-binding peptide studied for collagen production, skin quality and wound healing.

CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin

Growth hormone secretagogues

Peptides that prompt your own growth hormone release. Discussed for recovery, body composition and sleep quality.

Sermorelin

Growth hormone releasing hormone analogue

An older secretagogue with a longer clinical track record, sometimes the more appropriate starting point.

Thymosin Alpha-1

Immune modulating peptide

Studied for immune regulation, and used where immune function is part of the picture.

PT-141

Bremelanotide

Acts on the central nervous system, which makes it a different conversation from the usual options for libido.

NAD+

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide

A coenzyme central to mitochondrial energy production, used where fatigue and recovery are the presenting problem.

Are peptides right for you?

Peptides are prescribed by our naturopathic medical doctors, which means lab work first and a conversation about what the evidence supports for your particular case. Some of these are well studied and some are not, and we will tell you which is which.

Common questions

What are peptides and how are they different from hormones?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signals, telling the body to do something it already knows how to do. That is the practical difference from hormone replacement, where you are supplying the hormone itself. A growth hormone secretagogue, for instance, prompts your own release.
Which peptides do you use for musculoskeletal injury?
BPC-157 and TB-4 Frag are the two most often discussed for tendon, ligament and soft tissue repair, and they are frequently considered together. Whether either is appropriate for you is decided in consultation, alongside the hands-on work, because a peptide does not fix a joint that is still moving badly.
Is peptide therapy FDA approved?
Most peptides discussed in this setting are not FDA approved for these uses, and some face restrictions on compounding. We will tell you plainly where a given peptide sits, what the evidence shows, and what it does not, before you decide anything. If we cannot source something safely, we will say so.
Do I have to inject them?
Many are injectable, some are oral or topical, and the route depends on the peptide and on what you are treating. We cover this in the consultation.
How do peptides fit with the rest of my treatment?
They support the work. For a musculoskeletal injury that means peptides alongside the chiropractic and soft tissue work, not instead of it, and for recovery or metabolic goals it means peptides alongside the lab work and the nutrition plan.
